Valeria Rondelli Dataverse (University of Milan)
I am an experimental biophysicist with a multidisciplinar background. My interest falls in the investigation of the self-assembly and structuring of biomolecules and nanocarriers in solution. I gave significant contributes to the development and structural description of innovative complex models of biomembranes and tissues, suitable to be investigated by advanced techniques such as neutron and X-ray scattering and reflectometry. I exploited the complex models to perform detailed structural investigation of several membrane-biomolecule interactions. Recently, my research has been focused on the biophysical investigation of natural extracellular vesicles of different origin and on the investigation of their cell internalization mechanisms. I am well known as expert user and collaborator for experimental environments development in the European Large Scale Facilities for X-rays and neutron research. I teach Applied Physics in different courses of the University of Milano in the Faculty of Medicine. Besides, I gives lectures in PhD courses of the University of Milano and I taught in different specialized schools for graduates, PhDs and post-doc, about the application of biophysical techniques to the investigation of biologically relevant systems.
